MORE RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS

MURRUMBA DOWNS HOME

Our commission covered all areas including kitchen & bathroom design, entertainment/ media room, wet areas, walk in robes, office fit out, lighting plans, electrical plans, window treatments and soft furnishings.
The design motivation for this project was the contrast between dark and light, as well as embedding a hint of rawness through the textures of rustic timber posts and a feature timber benchtop in the kitchen. A sense of spaciousness was enhanced by taking advantage of the high clerestory windows, the white cabinetry in the kitchen and floating bulkheads directing the focus to the greenery outside through framed picture windows. Clever cabinetry design with the incorporation of a slimline fireplace, and hidden TV all boasted the minimalistic design approach, highlighting the textural recycled columns and feature timber elements throughout the home.

ALEXANDRA HEADLANDS

Our commission covered all areas including kitchen & bathroom design, entertainment/ media room, bar area wet areas, walk in robes, entry lobby and staircase, lighting plans, electrical plans, window treatments and soft furnishings.
The brief for this home involved its transformation into a stunning refurbished beach house with a hint of an eastern influence, in which the new design was sympathetic to the existing architecture. This was achieved by a combination of, nearly black engineered stone, satin 2 pac, glass splash backs and American Oak timber battens, which helped depict the simplicity and sharp light/dark contrast often found in eastern artwork. The fundamental concept behind the kitchen cabinetry design was brought through to the bar area and the main powder room. Once the concept was developed other built in areas such as the upstairs kitchenette and the wet area designs flowed easily emulating the design style. The home when finished demonstrates a well resolved design solution for a coastal home.

WATSON ST HOME

Our commission covered all areas including kitchen & bathroom design, wet areas, and selection of Interior Finishes including Floor Finishes plan and paint finishes plan.
This coastal home is the epitome of a beach house. Built right on the foreshore, it speaks volumes of coastal living. The space layouts and design detailing fundamentally were based on informal living and socialization for extended families. The design style is understated with a strong direction toward concealing all appliances. The colour palette and selection of materials was inspired by the raw natural qualities of the environment. Each material was selected based on the integral decorative or tactile quality that the material featured. Upstairs powder room and bathrooms featured natural stone, aluminum edging to featured cabinetry doors and a rammed earth wall and included a decorative partition frameless glass shower screen.

COASTAL KAWANA HOME

Our commission covered all areas including Building Design services for the House Design. Interior Design work included kitchen & bathroom design, entertainment/media room, wet areas, walk in robes, office fit out, lighting plans, electrical plans, window treatments and soft furnishings.

The site was beautifully located on the waterfront, where the design of the house needed to take maximum advantage of the views and showcase Hamptons and coastal inspired design theme. All rooms had to be planned in consideration to the long and narrow shape of the site, whilst creating a sense of journey from the arrival point through to the pool and the garden located at rear featuring canal views. A neutral colour palette supported by the white accents on window frames, round vents, and thick columns all become fresh features of this new home. The Hamptons concept was followed through into the interior design work by using shaker profiles on most cabinetry doors and through the selection of fittings and fixtures. The Granny flat at the front of the house provided for extended family. A soft colour palette of blue greys and white captured the mood of the Hamptons style.

CULBURA HOME

Our commission covered all areas including kitchen & bathroom design, dining room cabinetry, entertainment/media room, wet areas, walk in robes, library, billiard room, lighting plans, electrical plans, window treatments and soft furnishings. Interior & Exterior Finishes selection services.
Visually, the design of this home needed to resonate well with the personality and personal tastes of the client; a masculine approach to the aesthetics, including a keen eye for sustainable materials. The brief was three-fold and was also to satisfy the tastes of the building company that managed the project for the reasons of marketing their company through this project over the next 2 years. This unique home required utilizing the views to ocean front canals and breathtaking vistas. The interior design concept included considering spatial layouts for 2 families. The two distinct family areas are divided by a staircase providing street side and canal side focus. The interior design finishes played homage to our environment while catering for lifestyle activities. The standout features are the beautifully designed kitchen featuring a light timber battened ceiling and natural stone benchtops displayed in 2 finishes, gloss and flamed canal end of the kitchen that becomes the outdoor bench for the BBQ area.

MONTVILLE B&B

Our commission covered all areas including kitchen & bathroom design, dining room cabinetry, Fireplace cabinetry, Interior details for architraves, cornice and skirtings, wet area design, walk in robe design. Interior & Exterior Finishes services.

Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Montville this perfectly positioned B&B takes advantage of spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The architectural details created by Eileen Middleton transformed this building into a beautiful country home. The library demonstrates the cabinetry and fireplace detailing corresponding with the selection of cornice, architraves, and skirting. All throughout this home are repeat details in different formats, cabinetry door profiles, tap fittings and luxury finishes. The design outcome is sure to inspire strong memories of a glorious get away.

WARANA HOME

Our commission covered all areas including kitchen cabinetry, Media/entertainment area cabinetry, Space layouts, Furniture Selection services and Interior Finishes Selection services.

Young & bold – This home showcased major transformation through the new space layouts, the redesign of cabinetry, and the selection of finishes & furniture. The intention was to create spaces that would encourage the family to gather for various activities. Dark & ordinary spaces were converted into a light and airy environment filled with youth, through the injection of colour & design from the selected furniture pieces and feature rugs. Integrated cabinetry design for the kitchen and entertainment unit also provided plenty of concealed storage, leading to a clean & minimal look overall, giving the attention to the selected furniture pieces and soft furnishing once again.

MINYAMA HOME

Our commission covered all areas including kitchen cabinetry, dining room detailing including impasto finish to the columns, ceiling panels and screen partitions. Media area cabinetry, Space Layouts and Furniture Selection services. Also, the services included, Interior Finishes Selection services.

The house was designed with a concealed entry that provided for a wide glass frameless entrance door the allowed light penetration into the foyer space. We specified a forged brass entrance handle that was an art piece on its own. The Kitchen design included a generous butler’s pantry that provided for preparation and plating up during family gatherings and functions. Included is a feature staircase clad in Axolotl decorative metal finish creating statement in the center of the home. The selection of furniture had to fit within the constraints and complemented the client’s preferences for a warm colour palette. Oriental colours and patterns were introduced through the upholstery selection, that linked to the reds and chocolate browns within the interior finishes’ selection. The upper lounge area featured a pendant light that was suspended over the staircase. The house extended to a Master Suite and various bathrooms. A study was fitted out on the upper level overlooking the canal.

BUDERIM TIMBER HOME

Our commission covered all areas including fireplace and media cabinetry design, kitchen & bathroom design, entertainment/media room, wet areas, walk in robes, office fit out, lighting plans, electrical plans, window treatments and soft furnishings.

After living in the outback for several years and gaining an appreciation of a practical lifestyle and a good sense of simplicity, these clients requested a casual yet luxurious home that embraced finishes linking back to the urban mountainside location. Timber elements were used in the kitchen and repeated throughout the home to enhance a natural style and an element of warmth. A distinct connection can be seen between the natural style and artistic artefacts from the outback.
